Datta Tea Planters

You can find us at Datta Tea Planters over on University Avenue. We are right by Gate No- 2, so there are always students and teachers walking around the N.B.U. area. The post office is right there too, which makes it handy for us when we need to send things out. Being in the Darjeeling district, tea is just what everyone knows. We’ve been operating from this spot for a bit, and it’s a busy little corner of the world. The university crowd brings a lot of life to the street, and we see all sorts of people passing by our door every day. We aren't a massive corporation, just some folks who know a lot about tea and spend our time making sure it’s handled properly. Inside, it’s mostly just tea chests and desks. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. We just do our work, keep our heads down, and try to make sure everything runs smooth. The weather up here can be a bit damp, but that's just part of living in this part of the country. It’s a simple setup we’ve got. We talk to the suppliers, check the quality of what comes in, and deal with the local buyers. It’s a steady rhythm and we like being part of the community here near the university. Our door is usually open, and there is always a lot of chatter coming from the students nearby.
