Darjeeling Tasty Tea

Darjeeling Tasty Tea is located in Matigara, which is part of the Darjeeling district. We are right next to the Lal Singh School. You can hear the school children playing and the bells ringing all through the day. It is a nice way to keep track of the time. Even though we aren't way up in the high hills, we are close enough that we get all the good tea leaves. Our warehouse is just a plain building with a tin roof that makes a lot of noise when it rains. We spend most of our time sorting through the tea. Some of it stays here in Matigara and some of it goes much further away. My hands usually smell like dried tea leaves by the time I go home. It is a bit of a messy job sometimes. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. Most people just know where the school is and they find us that way. Every now and then, a ball from the school yard lands in our front area and we have to go out and toss it back. It is a very normal and simple life. We have a few workers who have been with us for years and they know exactly what to do. We don't use heavy machinery, just our hands and some old wooden sieves. The tea is good and we are just simple people. We don't make big claims about anything.
