Arya Tea

We are located in the Don Bosco Colony, which is up here in the Darjeeling district. If you know Darjeeling, you know the weather can change in a minute. One moment it is sunny and the next the mist is rolling in through the trees. Our shop is part of the colony life here. It is a quiet residential area for the most part, so we don't have the same noise you get in the middle of town. We handle tea that comes from the local hills. It’s just what grows around us. Our space is small and we’ve filled it up with chests and bags of tea. There isn't much room for anything else. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just write down what we have and let people know when a new batch comes in. Most of the time, we are just sitting here waiting for the next delivery or talking to a neighbor who stopped by for a chat. The air is always a bit damp, which is good for the tea but can be a bit cold for us in the winter. We use an old heater to keep the office space warm while we work on the ledgers. It is a very simple way of doing things, without any of the polish you might find in big city businesses. We just focus on the tea.
