Ayub Iti

Ayub Iti is located out in Shahbazpur, which is near the Shiso station in Darbhanga. Being an industrial training place, we focus more on hands-on skills than just sitting at a desk all day. We have some workshop space where the students can actually get their hands on tools and machinery. It’s not a quiet place like a library; there is usually some kind of noise from the tools or someone working on a project. I think it’s better that way because it prepares them for a real job site. The building is a bit older and we’ve had to fix things up ourselves over time. We teach things like electrical work and mechanical basics because those are the jobs people need done around here. The students come from all over Darbhanga, some even taking the train and walking from the station. It’s a long day for them, but they want to learn a trade. We don't have a lot of fancy office equipment. Most of our money goes into keeping the machines running and making sure there are enough materials for everyone to practice with. It’s a very practical kind of place. We don't do much in the way of talking about theories unless it’s absolutely necessary to keep things safe. Mostly, we just show them how to do the job and let them try it for themselves until they get it right. It’s about building a future for the boys who come here.
