Abhigyan

Abhigyan is situated right near the Satkar Hotel at Donar Chowk. If you are familiar with Mirzapur in Darbhanga, you know that this intersection stays busy with people and rickshaws from morning until night. Our office is in a building that has been around for a while. It is not exactly new, but it serves our purpose well enough. Inside, there are several rooms where students sit to study. I spend a lot of my time fixing the schedules and making sure the lights are working properly. Sometimes the noise from the chowk outside leaks into the rooms, but that is just part of being in such a central location. We have some desks that are a bit old and scratched up. It is not a corporate environment with glass walls and carpets. It is just a local place for local people. Most of the people who come here live in the neighborhood or take the bus to get to 847101. I usually arrive early to get the main gate open. The hallway is quite narrow, so you have to step aside when someone else is walking past. We have a small corner for drinking water and not much else in the way of extras. There is always a lot of talk about books and exams in the hallways. It feels very grounded and real. I like that we are easy to find because of the hotel next door.
