If you travel out to Village Kadaiya in Nani Daman, you'll find us at Survey No. 46/1-4. Being in Daman, we get a lot of salt in the air, which we have to be careful about with the machinery. We do pharmaceutical manufacturing here. The facility is fairly large compared to some of the small shops in the area, but it still feels like a local operation. We have quite a few people from the village working with us. The commute isn't too bad for most, but the humidity can be a real pain during the summer months. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because the sea air is tough on metal. It is not a glamorous job, just a lot of watching gauges and making sure the labs are kept right. We go through a lot of lab coats and gloves every week. The area around Kadaiya has changed a bit over the years with more buildings coming up, but we’ve stayed right here. We don't have a big corporate headquarters in a city; we are right where the work happens. It’s a lot of long shifts and careful attention to detail, but that is the only way to do pharma right. We just keep our heads down and focus on the production lines until the day is done and we can go home.
