Vk Engneering Work

If you go toward St. George High School in Nellyadi, you will find our workshop nearby. Vk Engneering Work is a place where there is always something being taken apart or put back together. We deal with mechanical stuff mostly. The school kids walk past every day and sometimes they peek in to see what all the noise is about. We have a few lathes and some old drills that still work better than the new ones. It’s a messy environment, to be honest. There is oil on the floor and metal shavings in the corners. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because that's not what an engineering shop is for. We focus on the machines brought to us by local people. Sometimes it’s a part for a tractor, other times it’s something from a small factory nearby. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. Nellyadi is a small place, so word of mouth is how we get most of our work. We try to be fair with people and just do the job right the first time. The roof is corrugated metal, so when it rains, it gets really loud inside. We just shout over the noise or wait for the clouds to pass. It’s a basic setup but it works for us. Most of our tools have been here for years.
