Ganesh Stores

We are located on Murathangdi Road, right at 7-14-59. Karkala is a nice town, and we’ve been part of it for a good while. Ganesh Stores isn't a huge place, but we try to keep the essentials. You can find things for the house, some snacks for the kids, and basic kitchen supplies. The wooden shelves are old but sturdy. We have a lot of regular customers who come by every week. It’s a bit of a habit for them, I think. We don't have fancy lights or a glass front. It’s just an open shop where you can see everything from the road. The rain can be heavy here, so we have a large awning to keep the front dry. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees try to grab something, so we have to keep an eye out. It’s just how it is living here. We don't bother with much advertising. Word of mouth is enough for us. My father started this, and now I’m the one looking after things. It’s a steady life. I usually sit on a plastic stool by the entrance and wait for customers. The radio plays in the background most of the time. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a useful one for people who live on this side of town.
