Durga General Store

Durga General Store is at 3-2-472, Karkala Road in Kerebettu Village. We sell a little bit of everything in this shop. It is the kind of place where you can find soap, tea, and sometimes even some basic hardware if you look around. We are right on the Karkala Road, so we get quite a few people stopping by on their way through the village. The store is usually a bit cluttered because we try to fit so many different things into a small space. I have been running this place at 3-2-472 for a while now. My wife helps me out in the evenings when it gets busy. We open up early so the workers can get what they need before they head out to the fields for the day. The shelves are mostly made of old wood and they sag a bit under the weight of the glass jars. It is not the most modern looking shop you will ever see, but it gets the job done for the people here. Kerebettu Village is a nice community to be a part of. We know most of our customers by their first names. Sometimes they stay for a few minutes just to tell us about their day or the weather. We do not do any kind of marketing. People just know we are here. If the light is on inside, then you know we are open for business.
