City Centre Shopping Mall

City Centre Shopping Mall is right on K.S. Rao Road. If you know Mangalore, you know this road is always packed with cars and people. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building has seen a lot of faces pass through its doors. Managing a mall isn't exactly what people think it is. It’s a lot of walking around, checking if the lights are working, and making sure the floors are clean. We spend our mornings opening up and the nights making sure everything is locked up tight. K.S. Rao Road is a hectic place to be, but it keeps things interesting for us. There are shops for almost everything inside, and we know most of the shopkeepers by name now. It’s a community in a way. We don’t have a fancy office tucked away; we’re usually out on the floors or near the entrance. Some days the elevators act up or a pipe leaks, and we just deal with it as it happens. People come here to hang out, escape the heat, or just get some shopping done. We don't try to make it anything more than it is—a place for the city to gather. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic outside and the music inside, but you get used to it. We just keep the place running so everyone has a spot to go on the weekend.
