The Chanakya Study Circle

Our place is on the first floor of Srikanta Bhawan. If you are on Mission Road in Buxibazar, you will see us right in front of the New Stewart School. It is a very active part of Cuttack, especially when the school starts or lets out for the day. Being in Srikanta Bhawan is nice because we are up away from the street level, though the noise still finds its way up. The Chanakya Study Circle is basically just a few rooms with long tables and chairs. We have a lot of books and old exam papers lying around. The light in the morning is quite good because of the big windows. We don't have any polished floors or expensive furniture. It is just a space for people to sit and study. You can see the kids and parents outside the school from our balcony. Sometimes we take a break and just watch the traffic on Mission Road. We have a small area for tea and water in the corner. The building itself is an older one, so the walls have some cracks and the paint is peeling in some spots. We don't really worry about that too much as long as there is enough space for everyone to work. It is a straightforward study center. People come in, find a spot, and stay for a few hours. We keep the doors open and the fans running all day.
