Star Media

You can find us in Kapaleswar Pur, which is near the Shib Mandir in Cuttack. It’s a nice area, and being so close to the temple means we see a lot of people passing by every day. Our workspace at Star Media is pretty basic. We have a couple of older computers for editing and a space where we keep our cameras and tripods. It’s not a large operation with many employees. It’s just us doing the work ourselves. Cuttack can be a very busy and noisy city, but our corner in Kapaleswar is a bit more relaxed. We spend many hours staring at screens or out in the heat filming whatever is going on. When the monsoon rains come, the streets get a bit muddy and we have to be careful with the equipment, but we manage. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years and we know the local shopkeepers well. We often go out for a quick snack at the stalls near the temple when we need a break. We don’t have any big marketing speeches to give. We just show up, do the filming or the media work, and go home. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we just have to wait it out, maybe sit outside and chat with the neighbors until the lights come back on. It’s a simple way of running a business, but it works for us and the people who know us.
