Sagarshree Hotel Pvt is located on Godhuli Lane in Cuttack, Orissa. We are tucked away in the 753008 area, and it is a pretty typical neighborhood for this part of India. The lane is narrow and can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking for it. We have been running this hotel as a private business for some time now. It is not one of those huge places with hundreds of rooms. It is more of a local spot where we know the names of the people who live nearby. Running a hotel in Cuttack means you are always fighting the dust and the heat. We spend a lot of our time just sweeping the floors and making sure the linens are clean. There is nothing very glamorous about it, to be honest. Most days are spent dealing with small repairs or talking to the guys who bring our supplies. We don't have a big mission statement or a fancy board of directors. It is just us and the building. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or the internet is slow, and we just have to apologize and get it fixed as fast as we can. Godhuli Lane is usually quiet in the afternoons when everyone is taking a break, and that is my favorite time to sit and have a chai. We just provide a place to stay and try to keep things as tidy as possible for whoever stops by.
