The Institute Of Pharmacy & Technology is out here in Cuttack district. It's a bit of a trek depending on where you're coming from in Odisha. The building has been standing for a while and you can tell by the way the walls look in some of the older labs. We spend most of our days surrounded by glass bottles and those specific smells you only get in a pharmacy college. It’s not a high-tech facility with robots, just regular benches and sinks that sometimes leak a little bit. Students are always rushing around with their white coats on, trying to get their experiments finished before the next class starts. Cuttack can get really humid, so the ceiling fans are always on the highest setting. We have a small library where the books are stacked high and the air smells like old paper. It’s a quiet place mostly, except when the bells go off between sessions. We don’t have a fancy cafeteria, just a spot where people sit and eat their tiffins. The grounds are mostly gravel and a few trees that don't give much shade. It’s a practical place for learning about medicine and how things are mixed. People around the district know us as the pharmacy spot. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just keep the labs open and the schedules running.
