Domnic Public School Ngo Wing

Down in Badambadi, Cuttack, things are always moving. Our school is located right in that busy area. Being an NGO wing means we are a bit different from the big private schools you see around town. We focus on helping kids who might not have many other options for their education. The building is right there in the middle of everything, so you can hear the buses and the rickshaws outside all day long. Cuttack is a humid place, so the classrooms can get a bit stuffy, but we keep the windows open. We don't have the newest furniture or expensive lab equipment. We just have simple desks and a lot of heart. The teachers here really care about what happens to these kids. Many of our students come from the surrounding neighborhoods of Badambadi and their parents work hard nearby. We try to provide a safe space where they can just focus on their books for a few hours. It’s not always easy running a school like this, and sometimes we run short on supplies. But the community helps out when they can. We don't have a fancy website or a big front office. If you want to talk to us, you just walk in and find one of us in the hallway. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We are just trying to do something good here in the 753009 area.
