Our group is based over at No.18, Kuthoosi Gurusamy Salai in Salai Nagar. That’s right in Cuddalore. We’re a consortium of different farmer producer companies that came together to have a bit more strength when we go to market. It’s a lot of voices to manage, and things can get pretty loud during our meetings. But it’s good because everyone gets to say what they think. We’re mostly local farmers who grew up around here. The office is a busy place with people coming in and out all day from different villages in the Cuddalore area. We try to keep track of what everyone is growing and when it’s going to be ready. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we get the scheduling a bit wrong. But we work through it. We aren't trying to be fancy or corporate. We’re just a bunch of guys who know the soil and want to make sure the farmers get a fair shake. We don't have any big marketing budgets or anything like that. We just rely on word of mouth and the fact that we’ve been here for a long time. People know us, and they know where to find us on Kuthoosi Gurusamy Salai. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay organized. It’s a community effort more than anything else.
