Zeez Construction

Our office is at 18-4 on Narendra Devar Street in Coimbatore. It’s a ground-floor space where we keep our blueprints and a few samples of tiles and bricks. Construction is a messy business, so don’t expect a polished lobby when you walk in. There is usually a bit of sand near the door from someone coming back from a site visit. We spend a lot of our time out in the city looking at foundations or checking on walls being built. Coimbatore is growing so much that there is always a new project to talk about. We have a couple of old computers and a big table where we spread out the drawings. The staff here is small. We’ve known each other for a long time. When the rain starts, the phone rings more often with people asking about their roofs. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology for the sake of it, just what works to get a house standing straight. The tea lady comes by at eleven, and that’s when we usually take a breather. It’s a simple life. We deal with suppliers and workers and try to keep everything on track. Sometimes the trucks are late, and we have to sit around and wait. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we do. If you walk down Narendra Devar St, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun now. We try to keep things moving as best as we can every day.
