We are located right on N.S.R. Road in the Saibaba Colony. It is on the second floor of the Kaliappa Complex, at 537/B. You have to climb the stairs because the lift is a bit moody sometimes. The smell of ink and paper is the first thing you notice when you walk inside our space. We have the printing machines lined up and they make a lot of noise when they are running fast. It can be hard to hear the phone ring sometimes. Saibaba Colony is a busy area, so there is always something going on outside the window. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and checking colors. Sometimes the paper jams and we have to spend an hour fixing it, which is frustrating but part of the job. We keep a few chairs for visitors, but they usually end up covered in stacks of flyers or boxes. The floor is rarely perfectly clean because of the paper trimmings. It is a bit of a squeeze when we get a big shipment in. We’ve been here at Empire Print Technology for a while. We don’t have a big receptionist or a waiting room. You just walk in and someone will look up from a machine. It’s just how we operate. Most of the guys have been here since we started.
