White Cliffs Hair Studio

This shop is situated at 28B, Rajalakshmi Nagar, right on Masakalipalayam Road here in Coimbatore. We are pretty close to the Hopes College Junction, which stays busy all day with students and traffic. I decided to call it White Cliffs Hair Studio mostly because I liked how it sounded, nothing more than that. We handle a lot of the college crowd since they are always looking for something new with their hair. It’s a straightforward setup inside. We have the usual chairs, big mirrors, and a bunch of posters on the walls that have seen better days. I’ve lived in Peelamedu for most of my life, so I know a lot of the families around here. Usually, I’m the one opening the shutters in the morning. Some days it is just back-to-back haircuts, and other days it is quiet enough to read the paper and have a tea. We do styling, washing, and all that normal stuff. The chairs are a bit old but they are comfortable enough for a twenty-minute wait. I don’t believe in those expensive salon packages you see in malls. We just charge a fair price for the work we do. It gets dusty being near the main road, so we are always wiping things down. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it gets really packed. It’s a decent living for us here, and we like the people who visit. Sometimes it's noisy with the buses going by, but that's just city life.
