Beau Look

In the middle of Gandhipuram, you will come across Beau Look among the many other shops. This is a busy part of town with people walking past the windows at all hours. Our shop isn't a fancy luxury spa; it's just a place with mirrors, chairs, and scissors. The air usually smells like hairspray or some kind of shampoo. We have a few simple benches where people can sit and wait for their turn. Every hour or so, the floor needs to be swept because of all the hair that piles up. It gets a bit loud when the hair dryers are going and everyone is talking at once. No fancy music plays here, just the local radio station in the background. The lights are quite bright so we can see what we're doing with the cuts. Having been in Gandhipuram for quite some time, we know most of the people who come in. We never try to act like a high-end salon. It's just a local spot where you can get a haircut and get back to your day. The walls are a plain color and we keep some old magazines on a small table. Weekends get very crowded, which makes our small space feel even tighter. But we just keep working through the line of customers. It's a basic, honest business and we enjoy the energy of the neighborhood and the people in it.
