Wetlook Saloon

Wetlook Saloon is in the Vadavalli area of Coimbatore, right at No 60 on Veerakeralam Main Road. If you know where the Maligai store is, we are just opposite to it. That store is where most people get their groceries, so they usually see us when they are out shopping. The shop is a basic setup with a few chairs and some shelves for the shampoos and creams we use. We don't have any big corporate backing, it’s just a local saloon for the people living nearby. The street outside gets busy during the school run and when people are heading home from work. Inside, it smells like hair products and sometimes the tea we make in the back room. We spend a lot of time sweeping because the hair gets everywhere, especially on busy Saturdays. The chairs are comfortable enough but nothing special. We have a small TV in the corner that we keep on for news or some shows while people wait. It’s a practical place. We don’t try to make it look like something it isn't. People come here because it’s convenient and they know we will just do their hair without a lot of talking if they don’t feel like it. The lighting is okay, and we keep the windows clean so people can see we are open. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood.
