Amar Metering Pumps

You can find us over at Sfno 543/1-543/2 in Don Bosco Puram. We are situated right on the Saravanampatti-Thudiyalur Road, which is a fairly active stretch of road these days. The workshop is where we spend the bulk of our time dealing with metering pumps. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience because the parts are small and need to be put together just right. There is usually a faint smell of oil and cleaning fluid in the air. We have benches set up with all our tools laid out, and sometimes it looks a bit cluttered when we have several pumps apart at once. The traffic outside can be loud, but we’re used to it by now. Don Bosco Puram is a decent area to work in, though it has changed a lot over the last few years with more buildings popping up. We usually have our lunch together in the small back area. There’s no fancy dress code here; everyone wears what’s practical for working with greasy pump components. We spend our days checking seals, tightening bolts, and making sure the assembly is done correctly. It’s a straightforward job, and we just focus on getting through the tasks we have for the day. Sometimes the delivery trucks show up earlier than expected, which keeps us on our toes, but we just manage it as it comes.
