Our office is at 101 Race Course Road, which is a pretty nice area, right near the Taj Vivanta. It’s a bit different from the usual industrial zones we go to for work. Unity Textile Engineering is mostly focused on the machinery used in the textile mills. We don't have the heavy manufacturing right here in this building; it's more for the technical side and meeting with people. The office is comfortable but definitely not fancy. We have folders and technical drawings piled up on the desks most of the time. Sometimes the AC struggles when it's really hot outside, but we get through it. We spend a lot of time traveling to the actual mills to see how the equipment is running. It's not a nine-to-five kind of job because machines don't always break down at convenient times. We’ve seen the textile industry change a lot over the decades, with new technology coming in all the time. We just try to keep up and learn as we go. We aren't big on marketing or making big promises. We just look at the problems the mills are having and try to find a fix that actually works for them. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and talking to the operators on the floor. Back at the office, we mostly just coordinate parts and service calls. It’s a steady life and we enjoy the people we work with every day.
