Swayam Spice Impex. We've been here at 32 Kundha Colony for a while now. Trs Garden is a quiet place mostly, so we just get on with our work without too much noise. It started out quite small. We handle spices, mostly getting them in and sorting through everything before they go out again. It gets pretty dusty in here sometimes, especially when the big bags arrive from the suppliers. My brother and I usually handle the heavy lifting. We don’t have fancy machines or anything, just the basics that get the job done. People around the neighborhood know where we are if they ever need something specific for their kitchen. It’s not a big factory or a corporate office. It is just a regular spot where we spend most of our waking hours. The neighbors are probably used to the smell of turmeric and chili in the air by now. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to dry things properly, so we have to keep an eye on the clouds. We don’t have a massive team, just a few local guys who come in to help us out when things get really busy. We try to keep everything organized but sometimes the piles of sacks get a bit ahead of us. It’s just how it goes in this kind of trade. We’ve stayed in this same spot because it works for us and we know the roads.
