Our shop is at number 114 in JKJ Colony, which is in Palladam. If you’re driving through this part of Tamil Nadu, you might have seen our sign near the road. We do design work here, but it’s more of a workshop feel than a studio. There are scraps of paper and samples lying all over the place. My desk is usually covered in drawings and coffee mugs. It’s just a small team of us working together. We don’t wear suits or have big meetings. Usually, we just sit around the main table and figure out how to make things look right. The lighting isn't the best in the back room, so we do most of the work near the front windows. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat about the weather or the local news. It’s a friendly colony to be in. We’ve got the pin code 641664 if you’re trying to mail us something. Most of our tools are a bit old but they still get the job done. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the office. We'd rather just focus on the drawings. When it rains, the roof makes a lot of noise, which can be distracting, but it's part of being here. We take things one day at a time and try to finish our orders without too much fuss. It's a simple life running a design place in Palladam. One of the windows doesn't close all the way, but we've got a brick to hold it.
