Spark Creations

Our place is over at No. 75 in the New Chitrambalam Layout. Pappanaickan Palayam is a decent neighborhood, mostly quiet except for the usual street noises. Spark Creations is what we call the business, but really it’s just a workshop where we make things. We started out small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage. There’s always sawdust or bits of thread or whatever material we’re using on the floor. We try to sweep up every evening, but it never stays clean for long. That’s just how it goes when you’re actually making stuff instead of just sitting at a desk. We don’t have a big showroom or anything. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-project with tools everywhere. We do all sorts of creative work, mostly custom bits that people ask for when they can’t find it in a regular store. It’s not a fast process, and we don’t pretend it is. Good things take a bit of time to put together. Sometimes we get the measurements wrong and have to start over, but that’s part of the job. We just enjoy the work and the fact that we can do it right here in the layout. It’s a simple life, really. Just us, the tools, and whatever we’re building that week. No fuss, just honest work and some tired hands at the end of the day.
