Susi Beauty Parlour

Susi Beauty Parlour is over at No 405 on 5th Street in Gandhipuram. We are right opposite the GP, which makes us pretty easy to find if you’re in that part of the city. Gandhipuram is always humming with people and traffic, but 5th street is just a little bit removed from the worst of the noise. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the shop has a very lived-in feel to it. We aren’t trying to be a fancy, high-end salon; we are just a regular place where you can get your hair or skin taken care of. The setup is basic—just some chairs, big mirrors, and the tools we use every day. We get all kinds of people coming in, from students at the nearby colleges to women who work in the offices around here. It can get pretty busy in the evenings after everyone finishes work, so the place gets a bit loud with all the talking and the sound of the fans. We don't have a computer to book appointments; we just remember people or write them down in a little book. It’s a very old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. My team and I just show up every day and do the work that needs to be done. We’ve been a part of this street for so long that it feels like our second home. It's just a simple, local business.
