We are over here on Dr Radhakrishnan Road in Tatabad. If you know Coimbatore, you know this part of town gets pretty busy during the day. Our place at No 102 is where everything happens. It is a big building and we have been here for a good while now. Every morning the gates open and the kids start pouring in from all over the neighborhood. Some come by bus and others walk from just around the corner. It gets noisy but it is a good kind of noise. We spend a lot of time just keeping things running. There are classrooms to look after and the grounds need cleaning constantly because of the dust. We have teachers who have stayed with us for years. They know the families around here quite well. Sometimes parents drop by just to talk about how their kids are doing or to ask about the next holiday. It is not just about the books though. We see the kids playing in the yard during lunch and it reminds me of when I was younger. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons so we try to keep everyone in the shade. It is a simple setup we have here. Nothing too fancy, just a lot of hard work every day to make sure the school stays in good shape. We just try to do our bit for the kids in Tatabad without making a big fuss about it.
