Subbulakshmi & Company

Down on Chettipalayam Road, things move at their own pace. Subbulakshmi & Company is right there in Gadhipuram, and we have been operating out of this spot for a good while. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can get our work done. Most days, we are just busy with the logistics of moving goods in and out. Ambedkar Nagar is a busy little area, so there is always someone popping their head in to ask a question or check on an order. We have a lot of stacks of paper on the desks and boxes piled up near the entrance. It gets a bit cluttered during the middle of the week when the deliveries all seem to arrive at the same time. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the tasks right in front of us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait for a bit, but that’s just part of being here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get around to it. We just keep the records straight and make sure the customers get what they need. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, do the work, and go home to our families. No more, no less.
