Spiceland Exports

The street outside is usually lined with motorcycles and small carts. We've been at No;48 for a long time. It’s a modest building, really just a place to get the job done. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or bright lights. Most of our day is spent looking at lists and making sure the spice bags are sealed up tight. It's dusty work, and you can always smell the cumin and turmeric in the air. We don't have a big marketing team. It’s just us. My cousin helps with the books, and we have a few guys for the heavy lifting. We like being in this part of town because the tea shops are good. We often take breaks there. The Kongu Main Road is always buzzing, so there’s never a dull moment. Sometimes the paperwork for exporting gets confusing with all the rules changing, but we figure it out. We aren't experts at everything, just at what we do here. We keep it simple. If a customer calls, they talk to one of us, not a machine. We think that’s better. It’s just a normal business with normal people trying to do right by their families. We stay busy from morning till evening, then we lock up and do it again the next day. Sometimes it's hard work, and the heat in Tirupur doesn't help much, but we've gotten used to it over the years.
