Secretary

This office is located right across from Maharaja Engineering College in the Kuppandampalayam area of Avinashi. It is a very specific spot in the Palankarai Vellur region of Coimbatore district. Being near the college means there are always students and buses moving around nearby. Our building is simple and doesn't stand out much from the others on the road. We handle the secretarial and administrative side of things here. It is a functional office, nothing more. We have a few wooden desks, some old ceiling fans that click when they turn, and stacks of ledgers and files. The work is mostly about keeping records and making sure the paperwork is filed correctly. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, so we are always wiping down the tables. Most of the people working here are from the local villages or nearby towns like Avinashi. We talk in the local language and keep things informal. There isn't a fancy reception area. If someone comes in, they just walk up to the desk. We see the same people every day and have a good relationship with the small shops around the college. It is a steady pace of work. We don't have big meetings or presentations. We just make sure the documents are ready when they are needed. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place where we do our bit for the administration and manage the daily clerical tasks.
