People usually find us by looking for Kamala Store first since we are right across from it. We are on 3rd Street in the Gandhipuram extension area of Coimbatore. It gets pretty busy around here during the day with all the traffic and people moving about. Inside our place, things are pretty simple. We have the usual desks and chairs for the students who come by after their regular school hours. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but for now, they are covered with a few charts. Gandhipuram is such a central part of town, so there is always noise from the street, but the kids seem used to it by now. We spend most of our afternoons going over lessons and helping with homework. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. It is a local spot where everyone knows each other. I usually get here a little early to sweep the floor and get the books ready before the first group arrives. Most of the parents live nearby and just drop their kids off on their way to the market. It is not a fancy setup, just a basic room with enough light to read by. We have been in this spot for a while now and the neighborhood has changed a lot. There are more shops now than there were ten years ago. Still, the 3rd street vibe stays the same.
