Ragu Overseas

Our place is tucked away in ASM Colony over in Angeripalayam. If you know Tirupur at all, you know how busy this side of town gets with all the textile and garment stuff going on. We handle a lot of the overseas side of things, which mostly means a lot of emails and checking on shipments that are going far away. The office is right there at 7/147D. It is a functional space, nothing too special to look at, with stacks of fabric samples and shipping forms sitting everywhere. We spend most of our hours talking to people in completely different time zones, which can be a bit confusing when you are tired. There is always the sound of sewing machines or big trucks nearby because the whole neighborhood is working on clothes. We make sure the orders are packed right and the addresses are written clearly so nothing gets lost on its way to another country. Sometimes there is a delay at the port and we have to spend the whole day on the phone trying to find out what happened to a container. It is a bit of a grind, but we like the fast pace of it. We keep a teapot going in the corner because it really helps with the long afternoons. It is just us here, trying to keep up with the demand and making sure the quality is what it should be for the clients. (250 words)
