Muthu Masala

Our shop, Muthu Masala, is at No 41 on Mangalam Road. It’s a simple enough place. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just a spot where we process the masalas and keep things ready for the day. Mangalam Road is usually busy, so there’s always a lot of noise and activity right outside our door. We’ve been doing this for some time now, and it’s just become our normal routine. We wake up, open the shutters, and start the day. There’s no big philosophy behind it. We just handle the spices and make sure everything is weighed correctly. Sometimes the machines act up or we have a bit of a mess to clean up, but that’s just how it goes. It’s not a polished corporate office; it’s a working shop. We usually have a few bags of raw materials sitting around and the scent of spices is always sticking to our clothes. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just find us because they live nearby or they've seen us on the road. It’s a small operation, just a few of us working together. We try to be honest about what we have and what we don't. It’s a practical way to live, and it works for us here on Mangalam Road. It keeps us on our feet all day.
