Our office is located in Udumalpet, over in the Gandhi Nagar Post area. Specifically, we are at W5 659 Chellam Kudiyeruppu. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you’re here, it’s easy to find. We are in a residential-style building, so it feels very much like a part of the neighborhood. We’ve got a small group of people working here. Most of us have lived in the area for years. People stop by not just for business but sometimes just to say hello while they are out running errands. Inside, it’s just a regular office setup. We have the usual desks and cabinets full of files. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations. We’d rather just keep the place clean and functional. The work we do involves helping people with their money and gold. It’s important work, but we don’t make a big deal out of it. We just sit down, go through the forms, and make sure everything is correct. On some afternoons, it gets quiet and we catch up on the filing. Other times, everyone shows up at once. We take turns helping everyone as they come in. It’s a local place for local people. There’s no big corporate vibe here. We just open the doors in the morning and do our best until it’s time to go home to our families.
