Mittai Ice Cream Company

Our shop is at 43 Ondipudur Road in the Irugur area. It is a small operation we run ourselves. Every morning starts with checking the machines and making sure the milk and other things are ready. Being on Ondipudur Road means we get a lot of people passing by on their way to work or home. Most of our customers are locals from Irugur who have been coming to us for years. We make the ice cream right here. It is nothing like those big corporate factories. We just have a few freezers and a counter where we serve people. Sometimes the machines are a bit noisy, but we are used to it by now. The shop is quite basic with just the essentials. We do not spend money on fancy signs. People usually find us because they hear about us from their neighbors. The floor can get a bit sticky when it is busy, so we are always cleaning up between customers. It is a lot of hard work to keep everything cold when the sun is beating down on the roof. We just do our best to keep the doors open and the stock ready. Every day is mostly the same routine for us. We open up, serve the people, and close when the sun goes down. It is a steady way to make a living and we like the people around here.
