We are located down in Sukrawarpet at number 187. If you know the area, you know it's tight streets and lots of shops. We’ve been making ghee here for a long time. The smell of melting butter is pretty much stuck in the walls now. It’s a small place, not some big factory. We do things mostly by hand. We get the butter in, boil it down, and clear it out. It takes time and you can't rush it or you'll burn the whole batch. My father used to do it the same way. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. People just know where we are. We sell to the locals and some shops nearby. Sometimes the traffic in Sukrawarpet makes it hard for the delivery rickshaws to get through. We just wait it out. It’s a simple business. We keep the pots clean and the fire going. It gets hot in the kitchen, especially in the summer months. We don't mind it much. We have a few regular helpers who know the process well. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just make ghee and sell it in the tins. If you walk down the street, you’ll probably find us by the scent before you see the sign. It’s just how we live and work here. No fancy goals, just melting butter.
