Feastman Icecream

Feastman Icecream is located at 262 Periyar Nagar in Puliakulam. It’s a local spot that’s been around for a bit. We don’t have a massive factory with robots. It’s mostly just us in the back working with the freezers and the ingredients. The shop front is simple and we try to keep it clean, though things get messy quickly when we’re making a fresh batch. We aren't trying to compete with the huge global brands you see in supermarkets. We just make what we know how to make. Sometimes we run out of a certain flavor because we didn't get the fruit in time, but that’s just how it goes when you’re small. The noise of the compressors is the background music of our lives. We have locals who have been coming to us for years. It’s not a fancy place with neon lights or expensive furniture. We have a couple of benches and that’s about it for the customers. Dealing with the heat in Puliakulam is the biggest challenge, making sure nothing melts before it gets to the freezer. We put in long hours, especially during the festive seasons. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy tubs and cleaning up spills. But seeing someone enjoy a scoop makes the long days feel worth the effort. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running and the floors mopped.
