Karthik Saloon

Karthik Saloon is located at 123 Avanasi Road, which is right in the middle of Coimbatore Central. We are quite close to VOC Park, so there’s always people walking around nearby. It’s a busy street, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. The shop is a basic setup. We have the usual chairs, mirrors, and a radio that’s usually playing something in the background. We handle haircuts and shaves for the most part. It’s a place where men from the neighborhood come to sit for a bit and get cleaned up. We don't have a receptionist or anything; you just walk in and wait your turn. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but we try to work fast. The mirrors have a few scratches on the frames from years of use, but they still work fine. We like being near the park because it brings a lot of life to the area. Coimbatore has changed so much, with new buildings going up everywhere, but our little corner on Avanasi Road stays pretty much the same. We open up in the morning and stay until the last customer is done. It’s honest work and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. Just a regular saloon for regular people. We keep the floor swept and the blades sharp. It is just a simple way to make a living in the city center.
