Kannan Tools & Dies

We are Kannan Tools & Dies, and you can find our workshop at 27-A in the V. N. Industrial Area, which is in West Bharathi Colony, Peelamedu. Being in an industrial area means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so there is always the sound of work going on around us. We specialize in tools and dies, which involves a lot of precise work with metal. It can be quite loud and hot in the shop, especially during the summer months here in Coimbatore. We have a set of machines that we have used for years. They aren’t the newest models out there, but we know how to handle them to get the right results. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We don't have a big reception area or a secretary. If you come by, you’ll likely find us on the shop floor with our sleeves rolled up. We handle orders for local businesses mostly. We don’t make a big fuss about what we do. We just take the drawings or the parts, and we get to work making the dies as requested. Sometimes things get a bit messy with the metal shavings and the oil, but we keep it as tidy as we can. It is just honest work that we’ve been doing for a long time. We know the other shop owners in the colony, and we all just try to get our jobs done. It’s a busy life but we enjoy the work.
