Jerrys Beauty Parlour

Jerrys Beauty Parlour is located at 22 Meena Estate on 1st Street in Sowripalayam. We are quite close to the Indian Bank branch here in Coimbatore. The shop is part of a residential area, so it's usually pretty quiet around here. I started this place in a spare room of the building. It's not a very big space, but I have a proper chair for hair cutting and a table for doing nails and threading. I mostly work by myself. I've got some mirrors on the wall and a small cupboard where I keep all the creams and scissors. The lighting is okay, but I use a desk lamp when I'm doing eyebrows to see better. Coimbatore can get humid, so the fan is always on high. I don't have any big advertisements. Most of my customers are ladies who live in Meena Estate or just across the road. They usually come by in the afternoons after they finish their housework. We talk about the prices of vegetables or what's happening at the bank. It's a very basic setup. I don't use fancy chemicals, just the stuff I know works well. Sometimes the door handle rattles when the wind blows through the street. I keep a ledger for the money and a small calendar to track appointments. It’s just a simple neighborhood business.
