Our branch is over at Number 119 on Angeripalayam Road in the Gandhinagar area of Tirupur. Since this is a big textile hub, the road outside is always full of trucks and bikes moving goods around. The office is a basic, practical space where we handle the daily banking for the local community. We have a few counters and a back area where we keep all the records and ledgers. It is a lot of routine work, like processing payments and checking through loan applications. The noise from the street is always there, and the office can get a bit warm during the middle of the day. We don’t have any fancy amenities or lounge areas. It is just a place to work. Most of the people who come in are busy with their own trades, so they usually want to get their banking done without any delay. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can. We are just a group of ordinary staff members who know the area well. There is no corporate polish here, just people doing their jobs. We spend our time at our desks, making sure all the transactions are recorded properly. Once we finish the final tally for the day, we pack up our things and join the evening crowd on Angeripalayam Road to head home.
