The office is located at 4/364 on Om Sakti Kovil Street in Coimbatore. Working for Icici Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd. means we spend a lot of our time dealing with stacks of folders and people coming in to ask about their policies. It’s a busy part of Tamil Nadu and the street outside always has something going on. You can usually hear the sounds from the temple nearby while we are sitting at our desks. We have a few desks set up and some chairs for people who come in to fill out their paperwork. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are always spinning. We spend a good chunk of the day just answering the phone and explaining things to folks who walk in off the street. It’s mostly regular people looking to get their families sorted for the future. We don’t do anything flashy here. It is just a lot of typing and checking ID proofs. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait around, but that is just how it goes. Most of us have been working here for a while now, so we know the neighborhood pretty well. It’s a plain office with white walls and a lot of filing cabinets, but it gets the job done for the people living around Coimbatore.
