We've been here at Nandhi Illam for a while now. It's on Govindaraj Nagar in the Periyar Nagar area. People around here in Erode know the spot. It's just a regular building, nothing fancy. We open up in the morning, get the registers ready, and wait for people to come in with their passbooks or cash. Sometimes the weather gets really hot, so the fans are always going. It’s mostly locals who stop by, folks we see every week. We handle the usual stuff like deposits and withdrawals. It gets busy on Mondays. You know how it is. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to stand around too long. The street outside can get a bit noisy with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the paperwork. We’ve got a small team here. Most of us have been working in this part of Erode for years. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just making sure the accounts are right and the cash is counted. It’s a straightforward job at No 24 5. We stay until the books balance at the end of the day. Sometimes that takes longer than we'd like, but that's just part of the routine. We are just a regular part of the neighborhood, tucked away in Nandhi Illam. If you walk past, you’ll probably see the same few faces every time you look through the window. It is just where we go to work every day.
