Gold Cabs

Gold Cabs is located over at No 212 on 7th Street in Gandhipuram. It’s a pretty central spot in Coimbatore, especially being so close to Kalyan Silks. Most people use that as a landmark when they are trying to find where we are. The street gets pretty crowded with shoppers and other vehicles, so finding a parking spot right in front can be a bit of a gamble sometimes. We’ve been at this address for a bit, just handling the day-to-day operations of running a cab service. There’s always someone in the office, usually drinking tea and looking at the dispatch logs. It’s not a big glass office or anything like that, just a regular room with desks and a few chairs for drivers when they take a break. We hear the city sounds all day long. Sometimes it feels like the whole of Coimbatore is passing through 7th Street. We keep a simple setup because that’s all we really need to keep the cars moving. People drop in to ask about rates or to book a ride for a wedding or a trip to the airport. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising; we just stay here and do the work. The sign outside is getting a bit faded from the sun, but people still find us well enough. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way.
