You can find Gem Hair Stylist at 2/3, Nehru Street in the Peelamedu area of Coimbatore. We are quite close to the Fun Republic Mall, so there is always a lot of movement on the street outside. Our shop is a small one, just a single room where we have set up our chairs and mirrors. Coimbatore is a busy place and Nehru Street is no different. We see a lot of students and workers walking by every day. The shop has been here for a good while. We have those old-fashioned heavy chairs that can spin around. The mirrors are large and cover most of one wall. We keep our scissors and razors in a plastic tray on the counter. It isn't a place with air conditioning, but the breeze from the door helps a bit. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. When you walk in, you just sit on the bench if there's someone already in the chair. We do hair cutting and shaving mostly. My brother helps me out on the weekends when it gets a bit more crowded. The floor is concrete and we painted it grey so the hair is easier to see and clean up. We open early because many people like to get their hair cut before they go to work. It's just a simple life running a shop in Peelamedu.
