Feel Good Spices

We've got our little setup here at 458 Avinashi Road, right in the Anupparpalayam Pudur area. You can usually smell the place before you see the sign, especially when we're grinding a new batch of turmeric or chili. It’s not a huge factory, just a place where we process and pack different spices. We spend a lot of time cleaning out the machines and making sure the bags are sealed properly. The dust from the peppers can make you sneeze if you're not used to it, but we’ve been doing this long enough that we barely notice anymore. We don't use fancy packaging with shiny labels. We just put the stuff in clear bags so you can see what you're getting. People from the neighborhood stop by, and we also send stuff out to a few local restaurants. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy crates and sorting through raw materials. The traffic on Avinashi Road is always loud, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. We aren't trying to be the biggest spice company out there. We just want to make sure the stuff we put out is good and stays fresh. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing a belt, but that’s just life in a small shop. It’s honest work and we really like being a part of this community.
