Electro Mechanics, Muscat

If you are looking for us, we are tucked away at number 27 on Kattabomman Street Extension. This is over in the Ganapathy area of Coimbatore, specifically near the post office. The shop is called Electro Mechanics and we have some roots or connections with Muscat too, though most of our daily grind happens right here in South India. It’s a busy street with a lot of local movement and you can always hear the sound of tools or people talking outside. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we keep our parts and equipment. Being in Tamilnadu, the sun is usually beating down on the roof, so we stay inside as much as possible. We’ve got a small crew here and we’ve known each other for years. People come by with all sorts of mechanical problems and we just take a look and see what can be fixed. It’s not a shiny corporate office with glass walls. It’s more of a place where your hands get dirty and the coffee is always a bit too sweet. We handle the paperwork in the back corner where it’s a bit quieter. Sometimes the mail for Ganapathy P.O. gets mixed up, but we usually sort it out with the neighbors. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in through the door. It is how things have always been run here for a long time.
