Dharmik Agro Foods is located in the RR Industrial Estate over in Vasantha Nagar, Singanallur. Being in an industrial area means there is always a lot of noise from other factories and trucks moving around. Our unit at 7C is where we handle the food products. It’s a practical space designed for moving crates and boxes. We have workers who come in early to start the machines and get the packing lines ready. The smell in the air changes depending on what we are processing that day. Sometimes it's very strong and other times you hardly notice it. We have to keep the floor swept and make sure everything is where it should be for the next shift. It isn't a glamorous job, just steady work in a hot warehouse environment. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby for visitors. People who come here are usually drivers picking up loads or suppliers bringing in raw materials. We spend a lot of time checking the weights on scales and making sure the seals on the bags are tight. Singanallur is a busy part of town, so there is always someone coming or going. We just try to get the food processed and out the door without too much fuss. It is about keeping the routine going and making sure nothing goes to waste. The heat in the estate can be tough, but we just get on with it.
