Dhanalakshmi Hair Dressing

We've been set up at Dhanalakshmi Hair Dressing for a long time now. The shop is located on NSR Road in Saibaba Colony, which is a pretty busy part of Coimbatore. We are at number 306/180, right near where the old Aircel showroom used to be. Most people use that as a landmark to find us. It’s a straightforward hair cutting shop. We have the usual chairs and mirrors that have seen a lot of years. It’s mostly men and boys who come in for their monthly trim or a quick shave before work. My family has been doing this for a couple of generations. We don’t have air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that work hard all day. The street outside is always noisy with traffic, but inside we just focus on the hair. We use simple tools, nothing too high-tech. Sometimes the kids come in and they’re a bit scared of the clippers, so we have to be patient. We keep the shop open pretty late because a lot of people stop by after finishing their jobs. It’s not a fancy place to hang out, but we get the job done. We know most of the people who walk through the door. Some have been coming here since I was a young boy. It’s just a local spot on a busy road where you can get a decent haircut without any fuss. The floor gets messy during the rush, but we sweep it eventually.
